Oak Refrigeration have recently completed a refit of a 100,000 sq ft cash and carry in Liverpool. Due to the age and condition of the existing machinery and cases it was decided to carry out a total refit which included the replacement of refrigeration machinery, packs, alarm system and coldroom evaporators.
SYSTEM FEATURES:
- Low noise pack with 4 compressors
- 2 evaporators per coldroom min.
- Full alarm and monitoring system
- Full turn key electrical, hot water and refrigeration package
Slick contracting allowed the freezer coldrooms to continue to operate complete with stock internally by swinging over plant and evaporators to the new machinery in phases.
The complete project took 8 weeks from start to finish. Detailed design and phase meetings also minimised the down time of the frozen sales to the sales floor.
Due to the success of the project and no variations throughout the project Oak were awarded a order to refit the diary and meat runs towards the end of the project.
Oak were advised at a post contract meeting that service call outs and product loss since the refit has dropped to a record low for a refit site.
